Japanese beef skewers, seasoned with white miso and sake.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
1 tbsp white miso paste
1½ tbsp sake
1 tsp soy sauce
2 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp corn syrup or honey
2 cloves of garlic
Salt and pepper (to your own preference)
Step 1: Put the bamboo skewers in a bowl with water. This will make sure that the skewers will not burn later on.
Step 2: Mix the ingredients for the marinade in a bowl.
Step 3: Rinse the beef with water and pat dry using a paper towel. Cut the meat in cubes of 2.5 cm.
Step 4: Add the meat to the marinade and let sit for 3 hours or one night. Make sure the bowl is covered and in the fridge.
Step 5: Thread the beef cubes onto the skewer.
Step 6: Roast the beef skewers for 5 minutes and flip halfway. Done!
