Did you know you could grill mochi? In China, Japan and Korea they put the mochi on the barbecue, so the mochi becomes soft and chewy. It is very delicious as a snack or as a dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack mochi skewers original flavour for BBQ*
  • Barbecue bamboo skewers*

Peanut - Coconut mix:

  • 150g unsalted peanuts*
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp roasted sesame seeds*
  • 2 Tbsp coconut flakes*

Directions
Put the peanuts and the sugar in a mixer and grind it. 

Scoop the peanuts in a bowl and add the sesame seeds and the coconut flakes. Mix everything together. 

Prepare the mochi according to the directions or put it on the grill. Grill the mochi on both sides untill it is goldbrown. Cover the mochi with honey and dip it in the peanut - coconut mix. 

They taste best when they are still warm!
