INGREDIENTS
- 2 tsp corn starch
- 150ml water
- 400g Kotomisi Basmati rice
- 500g large shrimps
- Faja Lobi Zonnebloemolie Trafasie
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, pressed
- 2 Tbsp Faja Lobi Nasi Trafasie
- 1 tsp piment powder
- 1 tsp Faja Lobi Trassie Trafasie
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 3 tl pure sesame oil
Vegetable mix:
- 150g asparagus beans
- ½ winter carrot
- 1 red bell pepper
PREPARATION
STEP 1: Mix the corn starch with water until it has dissolved. Add more corn starch with you like a thicker sauce.
STEP 2: Prepare the Kotomisi Basmati according to the instructions on the package.
STEP 3: Cook the vegetable mix for 4 minutes in water, then drain it.
STEP 4: Stir-fry the shrimps with 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil, and scoop it up.
STEP 5: Heat 5 tablespoons of sunflower oil, and fruit the onion and garlic until light-brown. Add the Nasi Trafasie, piment powder and precooked vegetable mix, and stir. Cover the pan with the lid and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir from time to time.
STEP 6: Add the sesame oil in the last minute and stir.
Serving suggestion
Serve with Kotomisi Basmati.
Variation tip
Instead of asparagus beans, you can also use broccoli.
