Chiffon cake is a light and extremely soft cake. Discover the Indonesian chocolate version of this spongy and airy dessert!

INGREDIENTS


  • 400g Pondan cake mix
  • 150 ml melted margarine
  • 7 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • 5g cocoa powder
  • Mixer
  • Cake mold 25x10 cm
  • 1 bamboo skewer

PREPARATION


Preheat the oven to 160°C with the top heat and bottom heat on.



Beat the eggs about 3 minutes until creamy. Add the Pondan cake mix with 3 tablespoons of water and 5g cocoa powder, and beat at high speed for 8 minutes until the mixture is smooth and thick. Add the melted margarine and stir well using a wooden spatula.



Brush the cake mold with margarine. Pour in the batter, bake the cake for about 60 minutes at 160°C. Insert a bamboo skewer in the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, this means the cake is done. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
