Prepare these spooky mummy sausages to celebrate Halloween! They are very easy to make and will appeal to young and old alike!

INGREDIENTS

  • 10 frozen sausages
  • Ready rolled puff pastry
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 4 tsp soft cheese
  • 1 tsp chopped black olives
  • Ketchup and mustard

PREPARATION


Defrost the sausages and pastry. Preheat the oven at 200°C. In the meantime, cut the pastry into thin strips of about 5 mm wide.



Dry the sausages with paper towel and wrap the pastry strips around each sausage. Leave one end free for the eyes. Repeat this step for all ten sausages.



Brush the sausages with the beaten egg, then put them on a lined baking tray. Bake them in the oven for about 15 minutes, until the pastry is golden.



Use blobs of soft cheese for the eyes, then top with a small piece of black olive for the pupils. Smear the mummies with some ketchup, so it looks like ‘blood’.



Serve with ketchup and mustard.
