This Chinese recipe for spicy sautéed shrimps and boiled broccoli is extremely easy and quick to make thanks to Faja Lobi mixes!

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 Tbsp Faja Lobi Kousenband Trafasie
  • 2 Tbsp rice wine
  • 2 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 500g shrimps (medium, tailless)
  • 600g broccoli, in chunks
  • Faja Lobi Zonnebloemolie Trafasie
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 1 slice of Madame Jeanette pepper
  • 1 tsp Faja Lobi Trassie Trafasie
  • 2 tsp pure sesame oil

PREPARATION


STEP 1: Add Kousenband Trafasie, rice wine, red wine vinegar, ginger powder, brown sugar and tomato paste to a bowl, and mix until it has become a smooth marinade.


STEP 2: Add the marinade to the shrimps and marinade it for 10 minutes.


STEP 3: Cook the broccoli for 4 minutes until al dente, then drain it.


STEP 4: Heat 5 tablespoons of sunflower oil, then fruit the onions and garlic until light-brown.


STEP 5: Add the marinated shrimps, Madame Jeanette pepper and Trassie Trafasie, and stir. Cover the pan with the lid and cook it for about 7 minutes until done. Stir once in the meantime.


STEP 6: Add sesame oil in the last minute, stir and simmer briefly.



Serving suggestion


Serve with rice and broccoli.



Variation tip


Instead of shrimps, you can also use fish or tofu.
