Our story

In 1986, Amazing Oriental (東方行) opened her first Asian supermarket store at the Nieuwmarkt in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This tiny Oriental still exudes the atmosphere of yore: narrow aisles only one person can walk through simultaneously and shelves stacked with different noodles and oriental products. Not one corner or ceiling was spared to display products.

In the meantime, Amazing Oriental has grown to become the largest Asian supermarket chain in the Netherlands. We have 25 physical stores, spread throughout the entire country. Amazing Oriental has the largest collection of Asian products, with over 10,000 authentic goods from Asia. Naturally, a webshop was indispensable!
