Sambal belacan is used as a wok sauce with all kinds of meats, vegetables and shrimps. To get the taste of the sambal belacan to its full advantage, it is advisable to first bake the spice paste hot. Also good to use as a dipping sauce or as a seasoning for rice and noodle dishes.
