Hummus: Middle-Eastern Chickpeas Spread

Hummus tastes great:

  • As a dip for roasted pita bread, falafel, tortilla chips or vegetable snacks
  • As a spread/sauce for sandwiches, burgers and wraps
  • As a salad dressing or as a Macro Bowl topping
Ingredients
  • 250g cooked chickpeas
  • Juice from 1 large lemon
  • 60ml tahini
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 Tbsp water

Garnishes

  • Dash paprika powder
  • Chopped parsley

Information
  1. Mix the ingredients in the blender until it’s a creamy purée.
  2. Taste the hummus.
  3. Add more lemon juice, garlic, cumin or salt if needed.
  4. Scoop the hummus onto a plate.
  5. Sprinkle with some olive oil, paprika powder and parsley.
