Soto ayam is a hearty Indonesian chicken and noodle soup. Loads of fresh ingredients and condiments are used to prepare this dish, including turmeric, which gives the broth a nice yellow color.
INGREDIENTS:
- Bamboe Soto Ayam seasoning paste
- 500g chicken
Garnish:
- Glass vermicelli
- Steamed/fried potato, sliced
- Bean sprouts
- Fried shallots flakes
- Celery
- Lemon juice
PREPARATION
Boil chicken cut into halves. Keep 960 ml broth in the pan. Add the seasoning paste, mix well, and continue cooking for flavour.
Serving
Shred the chicken, and arrange it in a bowl with garnish. Pour the hot soup in and add a dash of lemon juice or sliced lemon for flavour.
