Information

Looking for something new to try? How about spicy crawfish? With our Bai Wei Zhai seasoning it’s a piece of cake to prepare!

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 600g crawfish
  • Bai Wei Zhai spicy seasoning

Optional:

  • Onions
  • Ginger
  • Shaoxing cooking wine
  • Shiitake mushrooms
  • Black fungus
  • Lotus root slices
  • Sesame seeds

How to make it

Wash the crawfish with a small brush.

Bring water to a boil. Boil the crawfish for about 2 minutes until they are done. You can add some onions, ginger and a dash of cooking wine for extra flavor if you like.

Take the cooked crawfish out of the pan and marinade them for 15-60 minutes with the Bai Wei Zhai seasoning.

Garnish with sesame seeds.

Variation tips:

  • There are two seasoning flavors to pick from. According to Bai Wei Zhai, the black pack is “sick” spicy, so proceed with caution ;) The white pack is mildly spicy
  • You can use the Bai Wei Zhai seasoning to marinade eggs, mushrooms, fungus and lotus root as well
