Sesamolie Deze donkere, dikke, aromatische olie wordt gemaakt van gekneusd en geroosterd wit sesamzaad en wordt gebruikt als smaakgever of kruiderij. Hij is niet geschikt om te bakken omdat hij een laag rookpunt heeft en snel verbrandt. De olie is heel sterk van smaak, gebruik hem daarom spaarzaam. Sesamolie wordt voornamelijk gebruikt om een gerecht een extra dimensie aan smaak te geven en wordt meestal als de finishing touch toegevoegd aan een gerecht.

What is it?

Asian Sesame oil is pressed from peeled, roasted sesame seeds. There are two types of sesame seeds: black and white. It smells and tastes pretty strongly to nuts. Pure sesame oil from Kadoya is 100 percent pure sesame oil. It is a concentrated sesame oil. The smell and taste of the oil is much more intense than the other sesame oil. In contrast to Asian sesame oil, Western sesame oil is much softer in taste. This is because it has been pressed unpeeled and unroasted: cold pressing.

How to use?

Pure sesame oil is mainly used to flavor a dish and is added to the dish last. It is also not recommended to use with sesame oil as cooking oil. Sesame oil burns faster than any other oil. Sesame oil can be used with all kinds of dishes. A few drops of pure sesame oil brings the dish to taste sensation. Mix sesame oil with other sauces as a delicious dipping sauce.
