Taiwan Shao Hsing Wine 600ml
ShaoHsing is mainly based on (sticky) rice and water. To make it, the rice is first boiled and mixed with fermentation aids. After fermenting for a few weeks, the rice is pressed and the liquid that comes out is rice wine. Sometimes it is colored with caramel and pasteurized (briefly heated) before it goes into the bottle. The best known and most appreciated rice wine comes from Shao Hsing.
