Try making this basic, yet delicious Indonesian vanilla chiffon cake! It is light, soft, fluffy and very easy to make thanks to Pondan’s Vanilla Chiffon Cake Mix!
INGREDIENTS
- 400g Pondan cake mix
- 150 ml coconut milk
- 7 eggs
- 3 Tbsp water
- Margarine
- Mixer
- Cake mold 25x10 cm
- 1 bamboo skewer
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 160°C with the top heat and bottom heat on.
Beat the eggs about 3 minutes until creamy. Add the Pondan cake mix with 3 tablespoons of water, and beat at high speed for 8 minutes until the mixture is smooth and thick. Add the coconut milk and stir well using a wooden spatula.
Brush the cake mold with margarine. Pour in the batter, bake the cake for about 60 minutes at 160°C. Insert a bamboo skewer in the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, this means the cake is done. Let it cool for 10 minutes. Then take the cake out of the mold, and serve.
